“Life is not what it’s supposed to be. It’s what it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference.”

Virginia Satir

Welcome.

There are times when we feel that our lives are in crisis; and times when we feel dissatisfied with the quality of our day to day experience.

It is my experience that psychotherapy and counselling can be powerfully effective in helping us to make positive changes in our lives, as a result of our gaining deeper self-knowledge and increased self-esteem.

Many issues present themselves in psychotherapy; these include: depression, anxiety, anger, low self-esteem, relationships, sexuality, bereavement, family relationships, childhood events and experience, parenting, work and career, addictions, alcohol and drug abuse – and others. In our present economic climate, such issues may be thrown into sharper relief.

I use a variety of therapeutic techniques broadly understood as humanistic. I am inspired by the potential of the individual and the power of therapy and the therapeutic relationship to bring about deep and lasting change and improvement in our quality of life. My own experience bears this out, and my journey is one whose ups and downs have been and continue to be enormously rich; I enjoy sharing the skills and knowledge gained along the way to facilitate others to discover the very best of which they themselves are capable.
